Product Features

  • Reliable, precision machined and low torque design in general requiring no maintenance through out service life.

  • Meets IS:3224:2002 and designed to meet EN ISO 10297:2006 standard.

  • Design provides O-ring backed by high durometer elastomer back up ring for external tightness. Thrust washer between the top spindle collar and gland nut further protects the O-ring at high pressure.

  • Valve body precision machined from low tensile brass for CO2 service.

  • Gland nut abutts at the inner end with the valve body ensuring metal to metal seal eliminating need to retighten the gland nut.

  • Spindles machined from naval brass for toughness and wear resistance except top spindle for key operated valves which is machined from SS-304 rods and designed to fail safely, below square at a closing/opening torque between 65-70 Nm. This ensures that in case excessive torque is applied on the operating mechanism; the spindle shears before damaging the bottom spindle and the valve body.

  • Bottom spindle threads, thrust washer, 'O' ring and back up ring are lubricated by food grade approved CO2 compatible lubricant to eliminate seizing and galling under high-pressure operation and very low torque operation.

  • Valves fitted with Capsule type weather resistant Nickel 201 PRD rated at 200-220 kgf/cm2 as per requirements of IS:3224:2002.

  • Valve body designed to withstand impact strength of 300 J making it suitable for cylinder package mass of 83.33 kgs if used without valve guard.

  • Valves can be provided for maximum test pressure up to 250 Bar, as required by European ADR 2007 P200 for filling ratio of 0.75 Bar.
